The Center develops the most appropriate programming for each individual.

Special Needs Riding Program

At Flying Changes, therapeutic goals are implemented in an experiential setting with non-traditional equipment (the horse) that provides therapeutic physical and emotional intervention. The Center serves children and adults ages three years to senior adulthood and receives client referrals privately as well as through state agencies, rehabilitation centers, group homes, and local school departments.

The staff works closely with families and medical/educational/social services specialists and educators already involved with our clients to develop the most appropriate programming. Client progress is documented on a daily basis in order to best determine success with outcomes.

Programming may include the teaching of equine care and mounted skills. Developmental vaulting may be implemented for very young children who have deficits in the areas of sensory integration, body in space concept, or strength/ endurance/ balance.
